Answers to common questions about traveler support, trip changes, pricing, and managing bookings made through AmTrav Gather.
Frequently Asked Questions
I have questions about configuring Gather — where can I get help?
Browse the Gather articles in the Knowledge Base for answers to common questions (the search bar at the top of the page works well too), or reach out to your AmTrav Account Manager — they're happy to help.
How do travelers invited through Gather book their travel?
Invited travelers can select the Book your trip link in their AmTrav invitation email, or use the invite link you share directly. Either option gives them access to AmTrav to book within your policies and parameters. See how they book here. Travelers can also contact an AmTrav Travel Advisor for booking help.
How can Gather travelers change their travel?
Travelers who book through Gather can reach AmTrav's U.S.-based Travel Advisors 24/7 by phone, chat, email, or text to update their plans or get help during a disruption — no need to call you or contact airlines and hotels directly. Thanks to Gather's per-trip pricing, travelers can get as much help as they need from AmTrav at no additional charge.
How does Gather per-trip pricing work?
When a traveler books through Gather, a one-time per-trip fee is charged at booking. That fee covers their flights, hotels, and car rentals, plus any additional changes or advisor assistance they need for that trip — online or with an AmTrav Travel Advisor. A per-trip fee applies per traveler. Gather per-trip fees are nonrefundable.
Can I uninvite a traveler or cancel a Gather booking?
Yes. Since Gather bookings are tied to your AmTrav account, you can manage them directly:
- If the traveler hasn't booked yet: Delete them from the Who's Going list in the Gather meeting.
- If the traveler has already booked: Cancel their itinerary first, then delete them from the Who's Going list.
What happens to unused tickets from Gather bookings?
AmTrav will continue holding any unused tickets:
- Tickets issued to registered travelers or unregistered employees will appear in your Unused Ticket Report and be available for future use.
- Tickets issued to unregistered travelers that were paid with your company card or reimbursed can be transferred to your account and Unused Ticket Report upon request — contact an AmTrav Travel Advisor to arrange this.
