How do I cancel my trip?

You can cancel your whole trip or just individual components directly in AmTrav.

⚠ Heads up: Cancellations are permanent and can't be undone. Once something is cancelled, it can't be recovered.

Before You Start

  • Trip not yet started: Hotels and car rentals that are past their scheduled check-in or pickup time can't be cancelled online. Contact an AmTrav Travel Advisor to take care of it.
  • Online cancellation isn't always available: Some cancellation types can't be completed online. If that's the case, AmTrav will offer an Advisor Assistance option instead.

How to Cancel a Trip

Step 1: Go to your trips. Select Trips from the main menu, or select View Trip from the homepage.

Step 2: Open the trip. Find the trip using search or sort, then select View/Modify.

Step 3: Start the cancellation. On the Trip Details page, select Change or Cancel on the component you want to cancel, or for the full itinerary.

Step 4: Choose what to cancel.

  • To cancel the entire itinerary: select Cancel All.
  • To cancel individual components: select Cancel for each one, then select Check Options.

Step 5: Confirm the cancellation. Review the cancellation terms, check the agreement checkbox, then select Confirm Trip Changes.
